What’s a Rope Jam?
A rope jam is an event where people interested in rope bondage come together for rope practice, tying sessions, artistic exploration, or simply to connect with others in the community. We welcome everyone from complete beginners to experienced shibari practitioners.
Do I need a partner?
While some people come to the event with a tying partner, it is also possible to come alone and connect with someone at the event.
What Can I Expect?
We start on time at 18:30 with a quick welcome, followed by a grounding meditation to set the mood
Choose Your Path:
Beginners’ Corner: Learn the shibari basics from our teachers.
Inspiration tie: Follow along with the inspiration tie shown by our teachers.
Free Tying: Find a cozy spot and start tying on your own or with your partner.
Open Jam (at 20:00): After the lessons and demos, the space opens up for free tying and socializing.
Closing (at 21:00): We wrap up with a short closing.
What Should I Bring?
Ropes & Safety Gear: If you have your own ropes and safety scissors, please bring them. Otherwise, we have some available to borrow or purchase.
Outfit: If you are getting tied, we recommend wearing comfy, form-fitting clothes, and avoiding jeans, thick fabrics, belts, and underwired bras. Essentially you want to be able to move easily, and make sure the clothing doesn't get in the way of the tie. Yoga clothes, snug workout outfits, and short skirts/dresses are common, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable.
Cost
General Admission: 15€ per person
