Have you been to a beginner workshop and know a few ties, but don't really know where to continue from there? Then this workshop is for you!
Here you will learn more harnesses, solidify your technique, and use your knowledge in sessions with your partner. This class gives you a solid foundation if you want to move towards suspension in the future.
We hold intermediate workshops a few times a year, and announce exact dates on our instagram page and in our telegram channel. All workshops are held in English or German, depending on the registrations, and will be led by two of our teachers.
For this workshop, you need to come with a tying partner. If you don't have a tying partner, you might find someone in your telegram channel.
The workshop is not intended for switching, but it's possible if you finish an exercise early.
We will teach how rope behaves in different circumstances, and how to tie safely, avoiding discomfort and potential injury.
You will learn various structured harnesses, and how to combine them during play, while handling rope efficiently. The harnesses are solid enough for suspensions, giving you a good foundation if you want to learn suspension in the future.
We will show you how you can use your technical knowledge to create dynamic sessions and interact with your partner playfully, by using timing, touch, distance and proximity, and moving yourself and your partner while tying them.
We emphasise a relaxed atmosphere without competition, pressure, or discrimination. In the rope, we are all equal.
Riggers should be able to tie a non-collapsing single column tie, understand the basic principles of friction and tension, and know how to do rope extensions smoothly.
Rope models should know their body and possible injuries, and be able to communicate their preferences and boundaries in rope. Experience in getting tied is helpful, but not required for this workshop.

The most important thing is to wear something that makes you feel comfortable. Athletic wear or other styles of clothing that are tight fitting and don’t restrict movement are often ideal for tying and being tied in.
Clothing that restricts movement, like corsets with boning or even tight jeans, can make some ties and positions uncomfortable, and wide or thick clothing can get in the way and make rope handling and rope placement harder.
